There were signs and voices predicting a recession in US reflected on this blog in autumn 2006 through a couple of posts: US Inverted Yield Curve (27th Sept.2006) and Why Lower Oil Prices is Bad News for the U.S. Economy? (14th Oct.2006). It's interesting to note the validity of these signs that preceded or accompanied most of the previos US recessions (the inverted yield curve and the lower oil prices).
